Picasa and Blogger?

Weird, it turns out, unsuprisingly, that Picasa and Blogger are teamed together to have all my photos that I had posted to blogger in turn as a picasa album.

Interesting, not sure if I need that per se. But then again I didn't think twitter was worth a tinker's damn.

Oh boy!

Gmail, again

So, it appears that my gmail sendmail server is now using Thawte certificates again....

openssl s_client -connect smtp.gmail.com:465 -showcerts | tee morris

Fun times, good times.

msmtp and google

So up until recently gmail was using Thawte signed certificates. Turns out that has changed and so the instructions i found on the net didn't quite work to keep sending out email.

Example on how to get it working with Thawte certs

the only thing you have to change is get the certificate for Equifax Secure Certificate Authority. I found one here at geotrust.

wget https://www.geotrust.com/resources/root_certificates/certificates/Equifax_Secure_Certificate_Authority.cer --no-check-certificate
